Our goal is to restore streams to their natural state with stable dimension, pattern, and profile, as well as enhance wildlife and aquatic habitat.

SEPI provides a full range of services related to water resources, including data collection, evaluation and analysis; conceptual design; hydraulic studies; site design and engineering; monitoring of stream and wetland restoration and mitigation projects; construction documentation; and project administration. Our staff has extensive experience in FEMA regulations, NCDOT procedures and policies for highway drainage design and bridge and culvert analysis, federal and state regulations, environmental compliance, stormwater quality, sustainable site design, and erosion control design. We offer services in all phases of drainage basin and flood studies, drainage analysis on design/build projects with constructability issues, and offer solutions based upon available data and construction cost constraints. Our engineers analyze existing conditions and produce design plans for restoration of degraded and incised streams using the Natural  Stream Design Methods.
