SEPI has announced the firm sponsored employees to participate in the Triangle Expressway Trot III 5k and Family Fun Ride on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. through 4 p.m. The event took place in a section of the Triangle Expressway near South Salem Street in Apex, N.C.
The North Carolina Turnpike Authority is planning to open by Jan. 1, 2013, this last remaining section of the Triangle Expressway, a project in which SEPI Engineering & Construction has been heavily involved over the past year. The company is sponsoring the event to celebrate the achievement of the engineers, technicians, designers, environmental specialists and members of the CEI department who worked on this project. All proceeds from the 5k race will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and the proceeds from the family fun ride will benefit North Carolina Department of Transportation’s bicycle helmet initiative, which provides helmets to underprivileged children.
