SEPI served as the Project Manager for the surveying and design of in-stream structures, channel reconstruction, and six  stormwater management facilities for the purpose of restoring aquatic ecosystem function of 2,000-LF of Academy Center Branch and 3,450-LF  of Stricker Branch in the City of Concord, NC. The project involves all aspects of project development including planning, QA/QC, coordination with stake holders, attendance and participation in a public forum, environmental permitting (401 certifications/Erosion and Sedimentation Control), design, construction document preparation (plans, estimate, and technical specifications), construction bid assistance, and construction inspections (if requested). Specific work items include: topographic surveying and mapping of the stream corridors and locations of the proposed stormwater management facilities; geotechnical investigation; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to obtain a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) and/or no-rise certification and stormwater management facility design; geomorphic investigation of the existing stream reaches to determine degree of instability, sediment supply and transport requirements, amount and rate of current bank erosion; riparian and stormwater wetland planting and invasive species removal plans; developing concept through final construction plans, cost estimates using MCACES MII software, and technical specifications using SPECSINTACT.
