The NC State University Center for Technology and Innovation is a LEED Silver Certified Building located at the intersection of Main Campus Drive and Research Drive on the Centennial Campus of NC State University. The project includes the construction of an approximately 105,000-SF, four-story building, of which at least 40,000-SF will be leased by the university for the Non-Woven’s Institute and the remaining space to be leased to the university’s partner companies and other research groups seeking office and lab space on Centennial Campus. The building will be equipped with a 25-foot high ceiling on the first floor of the north side and a 50-foot high bay on the south side of the first floor. The construction also includes a three-story parking deck with a covered bridge with access to the first-floor lobby.
SEPI was hired to provide topographic and boundary surveying; a lease area survey and to obtain the site entitlements to include courtesy site plan approval through the City of Raleigh and North Carolina State University; obtain all construction permits to include land-disturbance; stormwater approval and utility design approval, as well as provide assistance with obtaining the building permits; stormwater management design; storm drainage system design; erosion control design; and the water and sanitary sewer layout and design, and construction administration.
